This usually due to the memory stick on the digital camera getting corrupted etc. You will have to re-format the memory stick, but will lose the photos on it. You can try backing up the photos from the memory stick to the PC and see if you are able to view them correctly. The best would be to get a new memory stick if this continues to happen. Let me know, how you come along.

I've taken the memory card out and everything and it still does the same.

It could be one of 3 things:

1. your camera isnt saving the pictures in NTSC format.

this can be a problem because any north american computer will not be able to read anything other than NTSC format

2. Get the proper codecs i suggest Divx all you need is the free trial.

3. try formatting your camera and see if helps

i hope ive solved your problem

Pictures on memory card not showing up on camera (DSC-T70)

You most likely did not safely remove the card from your computer and corrupted the cards MFT. You will need to format the card in the computer. It should work after that.

PICTURES

The problem is simple in nature but may turn out to be more complex than we like to think of it. Normally the pictures should have been saved to the memory card and furthermore they should still be there. However, in this case, if the camera asks you to format the card, it means that the files or the card itself becomed corrupted and the camera can't recognise any of it's files. In this situation, the camera assumes the card is brand new and unformatted (or corrupted/unreadable) and asks for a format. Most cameras use a file system called FAT16 or FAT32. This is a way to manage the space on a memory device (card in this case) and it's standardized with the computer world meaning if you for example take a picture save it on the card and put the card on your computer via a card-reader, the computer will read it normally. If viceversa you place a picture on the card, the camera will read it fine also. However in your case, if the camera says the card is corrupted or it asks you to format the card, there is a great chance the pictures were corrupted and are now unreadable. You should try to place the card on a computer with a card reader. If the computer says the disk is empty, then a data transmission problem between the camera and the card may have resulted in the corruption of those pictures. Format the card on your computer then place it into your camera and make some pictures to see if this was an isolated incident or still the camera takes pictures but doesn't store them correctly.

For those pictures at least, I think there is a veeery slim chance they are still there somewhere. Practically they are corrupted beyound repair, or even worse, they are simply gone. I'm sorry for telling you the bad news, the only thing i can help with now is to try to diagnosticate if this was an isolated incident or there are chances it ca happen again. Like i've told before, first format the card in your computer, then put it in the camera, then make some test pictures and try to see if you can copy them from the card to the pc. Let me know if something happens or if you need more help.

Can I view pictures that i put back on my memory card using my camera or is that pointless? if so, how do i do so? I have an olympus stylus 7030.

Most cameras will not be able to read pictures put on a card by a computer because of the different operating system....in fact, some cameras may even become corrupted by trying such a process. Are you sure you want to take the chance?

After a birthday dinner, i plugged my sd card into my computer to upload my pictures only to find that a couple of them were corrupt and couldn't even be viewed. I put the sd card back into my Canon...

Most probably the problem is in SD card. Please try a different card to check. Also perform scandisk on this SD card to check for errors.

When I view my photos I have already taken they look good until I try to zoom in, then the photos go fuzzy in multiple color stripes taking over the screen. Will my photos be fine when I load them to my...

Fuzzy pictures are most often caused by not holding the camera steady enough it's the number one problem with shooting "Live View". It's not the camera nor the memory card it's the person that's taking the picture. Sorry if that was to blunt. Now saying that not all the pictures will be blurry if you are shooting in full auto the camera is correcting for different scenes and lighting conditions so some will have a faster shutter then others so faster shutter speed will produce less blurry pictures.

Okay the memory card thing you should never swap memory card between cameras unless you format them first. Formatting wold remove all the pictures so what you did was really not good, I can get into a whole lot of issues why not but to keep this short It's not a good idea to swap card.

Transferring pictures from the camera to the computer requires having the camera software installed on the computer first. There are different sequences or flow of connectivity between camera makes one thing for sure is you don't "just unplug it" that is a sure fire way of corrupting the memory card.

With the camera turned off . The proper transfer sequence for your camera will be listed in the owners manual but, normally you connect the cable (if you connected a cable between it was the right cable) to the computer USB port not a hub or a keyboard. Then to the camera digital out put which looks like a mini USB port. Some will have you turn it on while others will have you press the "playback" button for about a second when it come on there will be a download screen appear on the computer, read your manual.

Okay after you have downloaded the pictures to the computer you need to format the memory card sound all complicated now but as you get onto it it's like breathing, you just do it.

Your coin battery that powers the memory system of your camera may be failing. This battery keeps your settings and powers your on board computer. Do not confuse this with your picture battery, as that only powers the lens and picture taking ability. The coin battery holds the program. See page 38 of your manual "Replacing the Date/Time battery."

My camera said card full even though everything was off of it

Did you remember to use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen? Not using it usually corrupts the card and sometimes even the camera.

Plug the camera up in the normal way and take a look at 'My Computer'
If the PC is seeiong the camera it will indicate this by 'putting' up a new Remoceable drive Icon- If it has work at it from there.
If it did nmot - Remove the Camera software - A Windows computer does not need it to see exteranal drives.
Still in trouble - purchase an extern card reader. they are cheap.
