I have lost my manual i forgot where to install the ink for my 2140 hp fax machine i do not want to know the price or where i could buy it. all i need is to know where to put that damn ink

Use the fax setup wizard from the HP toolbox , when it asks if you have an answering machine connected to the fax line say yes. Or setup a distinctive ring from you phone company and set the fax machine to answer double rings only. Use fax setup wizard to do this as well.
New cartridge wouldnt print but sounded like it was printing. You can check ink levels clean or align cartridge by pushing menu then tools. I cleaned contact points w qtip and alcohol. What seemed to work is putting alcohol on cartridge where ink is released and putting back into machine wet did this three times first time little dots of ink then a faint print and now it is printing must have been dried ink further then I could access.
