We turn it on the clock works, the timer works it runs but is not heating up. It is approx 3 yrs old can you help please

Do the inside light and turntable come on when you try to cook?
Is it making any unusual noise or is it louder or quieter than normal?
Do you have the model number?

Since it sounds louder than before, it is probably a bad high voltage diode or magnetron.
If
it's within the magnetron portion of the warranty (usually 5-9 years)
but out of the original full warranty (usually 1 year), then your
manufacturer will cover the part cost, but not the cost to visit you or
the labor charge to do the work.

Sears may send you a magnetron to install yourself since it's under warranty. For that or warranty service, contact Sears at http://www.sears.com.
You can save about $75 by taking it to the shop yourself, as opposed to an in-home service call.
