SOURCE: My Denon receiver is hooked

Look in the owner's manual on the section to set up the remote. There is a feature to "control volume with receiver" (or "do not control TV volume with remote"). Select that option.

Standby light stays on after blinking , stays power up but no sound

The issue you're experiencing with your Denon receiver AVR-1700 may be due to a few reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
  1. Check the connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the receiver and the speakers. Make sure that the input source is selected correctly on the receiver, and the volume is turned up.
  2. Reset the receiver: Sometimes, resetting the receiver can resolve issues with the sound. To reset the Denon AVR-1700, turn off the power, and unplug the power cord for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, plug the power cord back in and turn on the power.
  3. Check the speaker settings: Ensure that the speaker settings are configured correctly on the receiver. Check that the speaker wires are connected properly to the receiver and the speakers. Make sure that the speakers are not damaged or blown.
  4. Check for firmware updates: Make sure that the receiver is running the latest firmware. Visit the Denon website to check if any firmware updates are available for your model.
  5. Check for hardware issues: If none of the above steps work, there may be a hardware issue with the receiver. In this case, you may want to contact Denon customer support or take the receiver to a professional repair shop for further assistance.
Hopefully, one of these solutions will help you resolve the issue with your Denon receiver AVR-1700.

My Denon AVR-75 seems to stay in standby (red standby light is on) and I don'd get surround sound through it. How do I get it out of standby?

if the receiver does not power on from standby there is a problem like bad power supply or even bad macroprocessor. You need to bring it to a service center for diagnosing. 10-years old receiver, maybe better to buy new one.

I own a Denon AVR-3200 circa 1998. No sound output. Red "Standby" light constantly lit. Tried unplugging the power cord (not the other cables attached to powered units) and light remains red. ...

If the light is staying on after you unplug the AC power this means you have a short in the loop some where that is giving power to the receiver.

Try unplugging all connection to the receiver except for your speakers. Next hold down the power button for 45 to 60 seconds. Doing this will clear the flee power off the system board. Next plug back in the AC adapter and the receiver should turn on. If it does not then there is a problem with the receiver it self. If you did have a device shorting/grounding out to the receiver over time it would have damaged the receiver.

Has power but keeps switching to standby

Disconnect all speakers at the receiver and turn it back on, if it stays on post a comment and I will help you troubleshoot further. If it still cuts out, it needs to go to service for repair. Hope this helps.

Denon av receiver switches off

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?

No power

Unit is in protect mode. Most likely cause of protect activating is blown channel (shorted output transistors). I work for a Authorized Denon repair center in Michigan if Shipping to Michigan is economical let me Know [email protected]
