As of end of 2010 Archos had as far as I know not released a aproved flash player for the 101. I know some people have had some success running flash players from other paces. Try checking for unsupported players on the marcetplace, or try this.

I can not say it will work, or work 100%, but some have reported this to be working.

Why will flash not work on my archos 101 when it was advertised as supporting flash?

Archos continues to say the official Flash update is coming soon.

You can get a beta Flash version here , it's taken from a Droid X (very similar hardware)

Hi Just got my new archos 101 8gb Spec said 2.2 but it came with2.0.54. on plugging in to PC the upgrade didnt happen so upgraded to 2.1.04 Everything that I have thrown at it works but I dont have...

Betty,
Archos has been saying Flash would be officially available for some time now, but it's still not out. There is a beta version that I'm using, works great for me:
First step to getting Flash working is to go to your settings menu, then Applications, then check the box to allow for Unknown Sources to be installed.
To get a Beta version of Flash working use this link (from your Archos tablet):
http://ge.tt/36fA44X
You should be prompted to install this APK file on your Archos 101 after it's downloaded, this will give you a decent version of Flash (it's taken from a Droid X which has similar hardware to the Archos 101).
The Version number of your Archos 101 firmware is different from the Android Operating System. Version 2.1.8 is the latest Archos firmware as of Feb 28, 2011, this is Android 2.2.1.
To force an update, you actually need to connect the Archos 101 to the internet, not to a PC. Once you're connected to a Wifi network and have access to the internet, go to your Settings, then scroll to the bottom to About Device. On this screen is a Firmware Update option, this will check for and download the latest. Once it's downloaded you'll be prompted to plug your tablet into the charger and restart it to apply the firmware.

I am having a problem downloading flash

There is no official certified flash available yet - but it should be available within 1 month.
Until then, you can install unofficial flash 10.1 from DroidX, which is working better than the one provided by Archos.

You can find instructions here; http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/audio-visual/accessories/yds-12_black__u/4742/4061 (see point 5).

Can not find and install a flash player on to my archos 70tablet please help te er

Do you have Android 2.2 on the tablet as this and above are the only versions that allow for Flash player in a browser. As you donot have a market app you will need to install a workaround such as the one below.

How do you download flash player

With Archos 70 Internet Tablet, you need to download a specific version of Adobe Flash Player from Google Market since it runs Android OS. And A70 doesn't come with GMarket, rather Appslib, which doesn't quite cut it.

Luckily someone has made a neat little .apk file thath as Google Market, which lets you download GMarket and download/install all its apps/games/etc on your A70.

Just download the following .apk file and install it on your A70, afterwards download Adobe Flash Player from Google Market. However, this hack ONLY works on 2.2 froyo android OS, so make sure your A70 firmware is up to date.

I'd also recommend installing Dolphin Browser HD as it seems to provide a more refined flash browsing experience coupled with the Adobe Flash Player.

How do yo update the flas softwer

As posted to another person, download this .apk file and install it on your A70 (It must be running 2.2 froyo firmware to work, if running 2.1 you need different .apk).
It'll give you Google Market, where you can download Adobe Flash Player that updates itself... i've had 2 updates from flash since Dec 25th upon getting this.
