Hello Lisa Gray James,
I had the luxury of having a couple of old Casa Blanca fans in the house when ours went kaput (but the point I will try to make
is quite portable... between MANUFACTURERS.
Typically most wall controlled fans are designed to work over a standard light-switch circuit. the ADDITIONAL functions are accomplish through EACH vendors own proprietary switch-fan interface... (in the Casa Blanca case I am attaching below) they use their "RF" signals from their switch... and the control boards emit audible tone to make the user confident something is working.
I had NOT yet discovered the availability of the replacement unit below... but by swapping the living-room switch with the bedroom switch I was able to prove the trouble to Casa Blanca's 21Z2 control board (inside the fan)
Old style 21Z2: no longer available
Inteli Touch Circuit Board RMM 9901120 or 7801240
is manufacture discontinued (Inteli-Touch & Inteli-Touch II)
but the replacement units (Inteli-Touch 3) will work nicely...
Casa Blanca recommended that BOTH the switch (
W32)
and
control board should be changed... I complied.
(saved my good W12 switch as a spare)
BUT DO NOT
hesitate to call the
FAN MAN to discuss your options and needs... it looks like a multi vendor site... and I have also seen them on AMAZON.COM
New Inteli Touch 3 System
I have a Casa Blanca with the fan speed potentiometer bad, it has no manufacturers marking, it has 1954150 and 8134 and 137 underlined. Can anyone identify this pot, specs, or where to obtain a replacement? Thanks
