Nikon camera coolpix s3000.i recently brought this camera from us,just now when i took the pics and wanted to shut that down it says lens error and its not closing,can u please help me

This camera needs to be sent away forrepairs. Just like a motor vehicle, some repairs to your camera require atechnical specialist to fix your problem.
I work at an authorized Nikon service center and I don't see many S3000 models coming in for repairs. Most camera point and shoot models that have an extending lens are subject to lens errors. Most of those errors are also a result of shock or impact and not manufacturer's defect. Hope this helps!

Remove battery replace and switch on as you tap on the lens hood, repeat to see if the lens jamming is released. If not you will require the help of Nikon service for the estimation and spare.
Mine did this. I assume the lens won't pop up as it normally did?
To fix mine, I wedged a small screwdriver into the lens and then turned it on, gently nudging the lens out. It worked great and I haven't had the issue again yet.
Just a little help is all it likely needs to pop that lens out.
