Have a Magic Chef MCO165UW over range. Only 2 old. While heating up potatoes (5 min), it died. It has no display or built in light below. Does it have a in-line fuse? Its inexpensive model, but if its an easy fix, will do, just a pain in the **** to pull out so only want to do once. Thanks for your help! Dan

There is a fuse. It is on the noise filter under the outside cabinet. You would have to remove it, however, with that being said. Do not touch the capacitor if you remove the cabinet as it can kill you if you do not know what you are doing. Make sure you unplug it from its power source and wait 10 minutes or more before entering the interior. You can buy just a fuse , it is a ceramic 250 volt 20 amp fuse. Magic chef wants you to buy the noise filter with the fuse on it, part number 3518608000. Please be so careful about this, it is no joke the capacitor can kill you. Good luck and again be careful.

SOURCE: Magic Chef Oven won't light

Your oven bake ignitor is becoming defective. Even though it is glowing, the resistance is not great enough to "pop" the gas valve open and is slowly seeping gas into the oven cavity. With a strong ignitor, the oven should light within 30-45 seconds. Because this is a gas oven, I DO NOT RECOMMEND FIXING IT YOURSELF. Call an experienced technician.

Magic Chef oven displays F3 everytime the bake or broil button is pushed. Not sure what the model # is. Electrical range.

this could be a an open probe or shorted probe connection.you need to check your temp probe harness to your main board.
there is a chance that you need to replace your temp probe.
last thing would be to replace the EOC

Range won't heat up

it is a glow coil , thermocouples are on units with a free standing pilot that you have to light, if you have a range like this you may need a thermocouple if not a free standing pilot you have a electronic gas iginition system that uses a glow coil, you turn on over setting and oven glows orange then iginites if this is what you have you need new glow coil, easy to repalce

No power to Magic Chef Electric oven

I'm not familiar with this oven, but it ought to have protection against this kind of exciting burn-out.
This could be a fuse: find it and replace it, or it could be a circuit breaker: look for a reset button.
As I said, I don't know this oven; this attempt to help is based on the general idea that it ought to have some built in protection.

Magic chef oven/stove top range not staying hot

Hi, It very well could be the ignitor. Sometimes they work at first and then will not open the gas valve later in cycle. You can set the oven to heat and watch the ignitor. If it glows and the gas will not ignite in 30 to 45 seconds, the igniter is getting weak. I jope this helps.
Please let me know if I can assit you further.

sounds like you have a bad wire connection someplace in the oven.
