Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)
Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep as soon as you press it and then about 5 seconds later it will beep again. Let go of the power button when you hear this second beep.
Step 3. Wait for your PS3 to start.
This solution basically resets the video output back to standard definition. If this does not solve your problem then you need to phone Sonay. As it is under a year old they should replace it for you
power supply board may have bad capacitors look at them and see if the top of caps are raised if so they can be replace but i would get a new board if you do not know how to replace them
probably need to replace the Ballast and Power Supply Board. If lamp has not been replaced, I would replace that too. can call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.
tv works for about 2 minutes, then shuts itself off. the red standby light flashes 50 times, then the tv. comes back on for approximetly 2 minutes then goes off again, only to repeat again
Sounds like something else in the power supply. The surge inrush current could have blown the bridge rectifier. (device which changes AC to a pulsating DC for the power supply). You may need to have the power supply serviced or replaced.
