Have lexmark Pro705 printer, stuck in print head error and will not clear. tried reseating print head several times. unplugged at back of printer and let sit several hours and then turned back on. still in print head error.

Sounds like you need new printhead. Take a look on amazon here Genuine Lexmark 100xl 100 Print Head 14N0700 14N1339 Printhead for Lexmark... I hope this was helpful. cheers

You won't be able to update the firmware of your printer if you have an error message on the LCD screen of your printer. You need to get rid of the error message first before applying the firmware update.

i think its a firmware issue for me..

I experience it before with my printer ..

I just flash with another firmware..
and if the problem still exist..try to

uninstall printer driver and install another one.^_^

Remove the cartridges. see any bits of paper left behind. Replace the cartridges. You will be asked to align again. Do this.

Printer will not print color

INK PROBLEM
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Why does printer print blank sheets of paper?

Blocked print head nozzles
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

5 yellow blinks and nobody else ,

Issue: Alarm / Power light flashes orange 5 times consecutively (Print Head / Cartridge Error)
Solution: Reseat the print head iP3000

Reseat the print head
  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on.

  2. Open the paper output tray and top cover.

    Note: Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.

  3. After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.

  4. Remove all ink tanks
  5. .Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.Re-seat the print head into the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever until a click is heard.Insert the appropriate ink tank into the slot at the right end and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click is heard. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.Close the inner cover and top cover.Properly installed: Note: Check that each ink tank is installed in the correct position

Solution: 2 Reset the printer

Resetting the Printer By resetting the printer's power, the print buffer is cleared and certain sensors are reset. If there is invalid data in the buffer, or sensors are stuck in a particular mode; errors may occur. Follow these steps to reset the printer:
  1. Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).

  2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared) .

  3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If troubleshooting a communication issue, reconnect the data cable (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared).

  4. Turn the printer back on.

My printer is Lexmark Pro705. When i make it on it give me "Printer head error" what should I do? In my location no body has the Printer head.

Some times the printhead contacts simply need to be cleaned.

Remove the cartridge and use a small amount (just enough to clean any foreign materials)of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to clean the contact areas on both the cartridge and the printer.

Take care to not flood the contacts with the liquid.

Reset the cartridge firmly and try to print.

If this does not solve the problem, take this link to Lexmark for their suggested solutions.
