To pair a blue tooth device to a phone first you must turn the bt power on the phone to on,then you have to put your blue tooth device into discovery mode, now most manufactures use the power button for thisw feature.By holding down the power button on your device when turning it on for 6 to 10 seconds it usually puts the device into discovery mode.there should be a light that stays on on your blue tooth device.once you have the bt device into discovery mode you will be able to pair the device to your phone by search or add new device, once it pairs it will ask for a pin or pairing code.most manufactures of blue tooth devices use a 4 digit factory pin pairing code they aare as follows 0000,1234,9999,or 1111 once youve put tjhe pin code on they will pair ,i hope this helps

Have bluetooth but no passcode

Black berry passcodes are 4 zeros e.g. 0000, and I'm almost certain the headset passcode is also 0000

Cannot place LG-HBM-710 in discoverable mode

It sounds as if the device is not paired with your Chocolate. Press and hold the button on the face of the HBM-710 headset for approximately five seconds, or until the light comes on and stays on steadily, then discover the device with your handset's Bluetooth screen. Once it shows up in the list of devices, select in and pair it with your phone.

Hoe do i put the lg hbm-760 in pairing mode????

Turn it on by holding the power button for four seconds, Then go to your phones bluetooth setup screen, search for new devices, and pair it. The blue led on the HBM-760 will turn solid blue during pairing. It is always discoverable. The default passkey is 0000. Hope this helps.

HOW DO I PLACE AN LG BLUETOOTH HBM710 IN "DISCOVERY MODE" ?

Just came across your question while searching for the same answer - Here's what I found out:

When it's off, press and hold the on button for 5 seconds - it'll turn on, but keep holding until you hear the short beep - the light's on and you're where you want to be. Here's the full text that I found from the manual:

-With the HBM-710 off, press and hold the PWR/END button for 5 seconds
(You will hear a short beep and the LED indicator will stay red, when the device enters pairing mode)
-Using your handset, find the "Bluetooth menu" and "search for" or "add" new devices
- Select "LG HBM-710" from the list of devices and pair it with your headset
- When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure, please enter "0000" (4 zeros)
- Once pairing has been completed successfully, you will hear a beep
- After pairing successfully, be sure to "connect" to the LF HBM-710
- If you want to pair with other devices in the future, the headset must be in "Pairing mode"
- If it will be not connected the "Pairing" for three minutes, it will be turned off.

LG HBM 710

Sounds like someone "hacked" your headset and changed the code and display name. if you don't know the new code then my only suggestion would be head to your local distributor (probably a Verizon store) and ask them to reset your headset for you.
