My printer is Samsung SCX-4100.. The software SmarThru is not compatible for Windows7.. Do you have any software compatable so i can perform scanning..

What OS is installed on your computer? The Samsung SCX-6220 is listed as compatible with several versions of Windows, including Win7 x64. The drivers for the SCX-6220 are the same as those here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportOwnersProduct.do?prd_mdl_name=SCX-6322DN . You'll need the appropriate printer and scanner drivers for the OS and the SmarThru software (two different tabs under the Manuals and Downloads tab).

Then use the USB or parallel printer port depending on your computer (for Windows only Win98+ supported USB) and the cables you have available. The USB port is below the telephone jacks and the parallel port along the side of the telephone jacks. All of the ports are on the left side. A network card can be installed on the back of the printer.

I just fixed this problem for my computer. Try installing the scanner driver. You probably have the printer driver installed but the scanner driver is needed for Smarthru

Nothing for Vista BUT....

Try compatibility mode. what this allows you to do is set your application (only executables) to run in a non-Vista mode. chose to run the driver installation in XP mode by doing the following on the setup. file
You can access this by right-clicking on the executable, clicking on Properties, and then choosing the Compatibility tab. It’s pretty straightforward from there.

This has worked for others.
