The printer requires to be plugged into the power source with the power cord connected to its power adapter to function. Please contact Lexmark technical support for assistance if you lost the cord or the adapter. Thanks.

SOURCE: cant remember what cords are needed to connect my

According to the Lexmark X4270 Specs page at Lexmark.com, this uses a standard USB A/B cable Click to See Example.

Be sure to get the A/B (or A Male to B Male) type cable. The two ends will look different from each other.

If you need a power cable, you'll need to contact Lexmark's tech support to find out what type you need.

What is an error message #1201 on a Lexmark x4270?

The 1201 error message could indicate a serious hardware failure. Try to power the printer off > remove all cables from the back of the printer > re-insert the power cord > switch the printer back on and check if the error re-appears on the printer display screen.
Should the error persist, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

My lexmark x4270 constantly say's black cartidge missing..but I just placed a new cartridge in...please help me!!!!

Make sure you are inserting a genuine Lexmark cartridge.
Try to re-insert the cartridge into the printer. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
Should you still experience the problem even with a genuine Lexmark cartridge, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Lexmark X4270 power light won't come on

Disconnected the printer from the computer...waited 30 minutes...reconnected and the power was restored. This was suggested by a tech friend who says that sometimes clears the memory.

Don't know where to plug in the SUB cord

There should be a USB port on the back, or on the front (often both) of the PC that looks something like this... 84a6248.jpg
