There is a red light error on the scanner and it beleives there is paper in the scanner. I have unplugged and replugged everything. I have reset the scanner and I have also turned the paper feeder to check.

I found someone had placed a piece of tape on the cork where the scanner feeds in which was causing the sensor to believe parper was there. When I removed the tape the red light went off.

unplug, wait a minute and replug in. try this, it should reset it self.
make sure paper tray isn't too full, take paper out and add some less.
check the ink cartridges to make sure they're clicked in and working
dbl click printer icon in applications in systems folder to see if you can reset.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your printer. Here are some things to check.
1) Is cartridge inserted correctly and all tape remove from cartridge? 2) Are both cartridges in correct chamber? 3) Have you tried unplugging and letting stand for a minute or two and then replugging? (Hard Reset) 4) Do you get any error message on your screen? 5) Is paper fed into paper tray and pushed all of the way back? 6) What if any error message do you get on the computer itself in printers inside coontrol panel?

The problem could be the system and not the printer itself. Try turning it off, unplugging and then replugging and switch on try again. Sometimes this can reset errors. Post back if no go lilacgerry xxx
First remove all paper from fax machine and unplug fax machine from the wall socket for 12 seconds then replug fax machine into wall socket replace paper and try printing
IT have just been down to look at our scanner & cleaned the sensor which is in between the rollers just where the paper flits out at the bottom - we now have a green light! So look for that sensor.
