Can't remove DND off display

Someone has hit some wrong numbers on our Front end phone and now we have a DND abbrevation on the display and the phone doesn't ring. I've tried *04 and dial and than hang up, but still can't remove DND. I thinkl it means Do No Disturb. Can anyone help?

Phone display shows DND is active however phone still rings. How do we remove the notice?

Using the soft buttons at the bottom of the display, click the last button on the right (More). This will provide another set of options. The third option from the left should say "DND". Press the soft button below this option to turn off DND.

How do I divert calls to a mobile number and then undivert calls

pickup the handset (phone... watever) and press the FWD/DND button then press #2 then type in the number of the mobile (or number you want to forward to...), and hang up the phone... then when your finished with the call forwarding function, press FWD/DND again and this time press #0

What 2 does it turn on the call forwarding feature
. and 0 turns off forwarding/do not disturb functions

theres 5 different functions after you press FWD/DND

0: turns FWD/DND off
1: put the phone into Do Not Disturb Mode
2: call forwarding
3: Busy-Forwarding.. which means if your on the phone and someone rings, it forwards them to the number you specify
4: No Answer- when you don't answer the phone if forwards the caller onto the number you type in
and lastly 5: Busy/No Answer- does both function 3 & 4

i hope i've helped

Deactivating Do Not Disturb command

I loosely followed Solution #2's answer. If you pick up the phone, the display screen will show options above each of the 4 'arrow' buttons. The one to the far right, for me anyway, showed something looking like this: >>>

I hit it and it showed a number of options, one being "DND". Hitting that deactivated (or activated) DND on the phone I was currently on. That solved the problem for me.

Cisco ip phone 7940 does not ring for incoming calls.

It sounds like you have enabled Do No Disturb accidently. This can be turned on and off by pressing the DND softkey button along the bottom of the LCD display. You might need to press the 'more' softkey to display all options.

Another solution is to pick up on intercom and dial 4 then 2 and hang up. That is the default DND cancel code. It can be used form single line phones within the system as well.
