There can be several reasons for this. Most commonly, the printer has been turned off. Try pressing the post receipt button after a sale. Also make sure you are using 57mm thermal paper and have the shiny side towards you.

As long as you are able to complete the sale normally (or use the no sale function), the problem is usually due to a locked cash drawer or something jamming the plastic insert inside the drawer.

The answer may be in your question... "How can I reset the non-ressettable..." you could try ringing Casio, but you might not be able to. Sorry

It sounds like someone has accidentally programmed a limit into the CASH button. Try this:
Turn key to program 0 cash subtotal 3 subtotal 0 cash subtotal
You must use at least one clerk. the machine will not operate without a clerk logged on. You can use the machine features in the manual to stop a clerk log off after a sale if it has been turned on. Then a clerk will stay there.

Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.
Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open

VAT is value added tax which is straight percentage. program tax one or two for the percentage and make sure your departments are set up taxable or non taxible. prgm 2 is vat probably and program 1 will be for dept. generally with casio.

Hi.
It sounds like this machine has not had it's system options set fully by your dealer.
When you mention categories, are you talking about the label associated with each item button on the keyboard or internal groups. It will depend upon the way your dealer set it up for you.
