How to run chek disk utility for google chrome

Perform the following steps to fix this problem:

• Run Disk CleanUp
  
• Defrag Disk
  
• Fix registry errors
  
• Reinstall chrome
  
• Update the drivers that control your PC.

Try this guideline:
Close Google Chrome
Click the Start
In the search box, type CMD
Click on the CMD icon and you will see the command window open
Type: cd %localappdata%\google\update
After you press enter, you cursor should now be in your google update directory
Type: GoogleUpdate.exe /RegServer
Running that only took a second.
Open Google chrome and check 'About Google Chrome' again and it should now check the update servers successfully.


If problem still occurs then use system utility tool Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Uninstall it.
Turn off the computer.
Download it again .
Run Disk cleaner from my computerf hard disk properties.
Install it.

While installing Google Chrome, the installation program detected problems with the file system and wants you to run chkdsk to repair them. Either go to a cmd prompt (or click on Start, Run) and key-in chkdsk /f The /f instructs chkdsk to fix any file system errors it finds as it checks your hard drive, You will receive a message the the disk is currently locked and asking you if you want to run chkdsk the next time the system starts, Respond with Y. Then restart your computer. You will receive a message that a disk check has been scheduled - allow it to proceed. Chkdsk will execute and repair any problems it finds with the file system. After completion, your computer will start up normally. Now you should be able to install Chrome.

Corrupted files for Google Chrome can be fixed by doing a check disk.

To schedule a check disk, you may follwo these steps:

1.Double click My Computer then right click the c:drive.
2.Click Properties then click Tools Tab
3.Look under Error-Checking then click Check Now.

There will be a windo that will pop up which will ask you to use one of the following options
a.Run chek disk in read-only mode, click start
b.Automaticallyfix file system errors then click start
c.Scan for and attempt recover of bad sectors then click start

Then click YES to schedule disk check. Restart your computer to start check disk. Wait for it to complete the process. Do not press any key on the keyboard

First off, what browser are you using? I would recommend attempting to change browsers either to Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrome_mac.html?hl=en) or Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html). Sometimes the solution is as simple as this. If that did not work, I would recommend opening Disk Utility (Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility) and checking/repairing permissions. Good Luck.
