First and foremost, DVD's still play perfectly and the colors are beautiful, perfect and alligned on my PT53WX52. However, on Regular TV-(Cox Cable) every human being appears to be the color similar to Shrek green. My husband and I have both tried to fix what we thought was a convergence problem on and off all day today...Is this a convergence problem?? A cable cord problem? or ...a cable box problem??. If it's a convergence problem then why do DVD's play perfectly?? I've tried unplugging every cord and plugging it back in..I've also tried powering off the Cable box and unplugging it and the Television set numerous times with the same result. A possible CLUE to this mystery..... Last night there was no problem with the TV picture and this morning when I turned it on there was no picture whatsoever... then I noticed that every cable box in my entire home had an error code displayed on it, the very same error code. But right after calling COX and hearing "we have a download? problem, we don't know when it will be fixed"...the cable boxes displayed the time and went back to normal, problem resolved per Cox Cable. But that did not fix the picture (color) problem on my Panasonic PT-53WX52....I'm soo confused. What is the likely problem???

Replace the cable from your cable box to television. Try one from one of your other cable boxes before buying one, but I highly suspect the actual cable from box to TV is bad

My RCA XL100 is hooked up to cable and works perfectly fine. We've had it for ages and the picture is clear, sound is beautiful, and it gets along fine with my universal remote. There's just one...

Some of their very old sets the video input was located on channels in the 90's; Try scrolling down from 99 to 90 to see if you locate the video input; this is just the way they did things in the older sets.

When playing a dvd the color is in b&w only

I have had exactly this problem when changing TVs. Initially I had the sVideo out cable from the Bose with a scart plug on TV end - that worked fine on old TV. On new TV, first Samsung, second SOny, got Black and white video picture. To get it to work I used a component video cable - this is a short svideo cable with a an audio cable at the Bose end. It splits into a 3way R G B cable within 2- 3 inches at Bose end. I then plugged rgb extension cables into this and TV and worked perfectly.
I found the answer to this by errr...... reading the BOse doucumentation I reveived when I bought the Lifestyle system 5 years ago.
Good luck

I just hooked up a dvd player to my new 42 in LCD Sanyo TV and the dvd plays with a red/orange screen. The TV color is perfect just the dvd is redish orange.

You may have a bad cable,or it might not be in all the way. If does not work the main digatle board needs to be replaced. Encompass parts are down at the moment to provide you w/a part number .and price.

Screen is Perfect just Black and White only...No Color

well a dvd player is only going to playback the media it is reading. So if the dvd is a reproduction of a b/w western then b/w is correct but if you play a dvd from the present then it should be in color unless the tv it is connected to is faulty. Try connecting to another tv to see if problem repeats on another tv

Goodmans tv/video/dvd all in one

Perfect picture on TV, DVD and VCR, but no color means you have selected the wrong color system.Since you are in the UK, make sure that the VCR Color system is also set to PAL. Perhaps it is wrongly set to SECAM?
