Hobart LXIH displays P2

My dish machine displays a wrench and the code P2, what does this mean?

  • lifesablur7 Jan 07, 2009

I get the P2 code and the wrench display only briefly. The temperature ranges from 163-193 during the rinse cycle. Is there a problem that I need to address here. Otherwise the washer is working just wonderfully. Thank you!

Starts ok wrench appears heats ok wash cycle pressure strong at first then fades wrench appears -p2 -cleaned screens and checked spray arms .incoming water pressure 20 psi whats wrong ?

Check the spray arm. Machine water pump. After this pump pressure
builds up to the spray arm. Rubber hosejunction inside the wash tub.
This place gets connected to the spray arm system.
You can see this when you draw the tray for loading vessels.
Slowly push it and watch the junction where this gets locked into the
rubber hose mouth inside the wash tub. There should not be any
water pressure leak.

Hobart lx 40 - problem D 1

Does it show a wrench icon and P1?
error codes are p 1to 3 for probe errors, or E1 to 7 for error codes.
P1 is the probe on the wash tank. It's a thermistor with two black wires to a white connector. There is another on the booster front (P2) and a 3rd on the rear airgap, (p3). You could try exchanging 1 and 3 to see if the fault changes too. You have to drain the booster to swap P2. If it can't determine the wash tank temp, it won't know to control the heat and shows the error.

Hobart LX 30 P2 Error and unit overflowing!

Hi drogers77,

I'm not a Hobart technician, but here what I founded in my manual for the LX30 error message:

LX18 / LX30 display shows E0, E2, E3 or E4

1. Low water pressure - check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.

2. Make sure probes are clean

3. No water pressure - main water supply valves may not be working

4. Drain valve open - turn machine OFF to drain machine, then ON. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the OFF-ON procedure. If problem persists, call your local Hobart Service Office.

5. Delime machine.

Hope it will help you.

Hobart dishwasher model LX30H; displays wrench and E4.

Water is not to top sensor in alotted time.
Top sensor is in right rear corner, and is the upper of the two. Check the connector to the probe on the outside at the back. (sometimes gets wet fro vacuum breaker leaking when dirty or low flow pressure. Machine needs 20 psi flow rate

Wrench display

This is a service needed indicator. It is usually shown in conjunction with another error code. Check the manual at the following link for further interpretation:
