Clogged drain tube, blow it out. You may also have a P-trap in the back of the unit that needs to be cleaned. Remove it and flush with hot water.

Whirlpool fridge model # ed2fhgxkt04, ser # sm4434895. I am getting ice buildup in bottem of freezer. no ice on food or sides of freezer. where is defrost drain located to clear and or defrost it?

First off, if you get in a hurry, you can cause serious damage.
The machine must be unplugged, and allowed to completely defrost.
24 hours would be considered normal, but you can quicken that up some by placing a floor fan in front of the freezer compartment with the freezer door left open.
You can access the drain hose by removing the rear access panel.
Service techs then use compressed air connected to a hose and insert it in the end of the drain hose, and, BLOW AIR THRU IT GENTLY.
2 causes for this problem. one, the drain was in fact plugged up. Two, if the machine has an icemaker, the fill hose from the water valve to the ice maker is leaking, causing water to leak and then freeze in the bottom of the freezer.

Freezer drain tube clogs causing water to drain

drain tube is clogging with debris or freezing? is there a pan under your fridge with a float valve on it, these pans are usually heated and the water evaporates, except when the factory doesnt hook up the wires, because it wont pass the eer rating, you can hook up after you, the consumer has purchased it , i know it sounds dumb but thats what viking does as well.
check that pan under your fridge and see if there are extra wires that are unplugged , plug them together(2) and good luck.
initially you will have to shut your fridge down for a couple of hours to defrost, but once you restart you should be good,
empty that pan under the fridge for now as well

Freezer wont defrost and refrigerator is to hot

the evaporator coils in the freezer are iced up. either someone left the door ajar for a while, you didn't let the fridge sit empty and turned on for a day before filling it, there is an obstruction in the evaporator drain causing water to pool and freeze on the coils, or your evaporator fans are not working. you need to unplug the unit and either: 1- let it set with the doors open and defrost with the ambient air (and soak up the excess water under the fridge); 2- find the back wall where the frost is, take the screws out and remove the wall, and use warm water to melt the ice on the coils (and soak up the excess water); or 3- use hot air (hair dryer). be careful with the hair dryer. just enough to melt the ice and not to heat up the fins and tubing. clean up any extra water inside, check the drain under the coils for obstructions, make sure the fan works, empty the fridge, turn it on, close it, and fill it tomorrow. also, there is a self-defrost timer on the fridge. look in the manual for it's location and setting.

Siemans dishwasher not draining

the water in the bottem of the machine under the mesh filter is normal. it acts as a lubricant for both motor impeller and drain propeller. if its greasy then try using only 1 tablespoon of powder soap from now on. now if the water level is ever above the mesh filter after a complete cycle, then you have a drain problem

Water in my fridge

sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

remove back panel inside freezer and you will find drain at bottom blocked with ice. melt off with a hairdryer and follow up with hot water till drain flows freely.
you may have a fault with the defrost system or the drain heater

Fridge not staying cold

did you let the fridge stay in it's new place for 24 hours up right before turning it on?
Try turning it off for at least 24 hours and start it back up again.
If you moved it on its side the compressor oil flows into the lines and must beable to drain back down before using it.
If not you'll seeze the compressor.
not good.

GE bottem freeze- not cooling

It is not so much the freezer motor icing up but the drain trough that takes the water from defrost down to the pan.Possibly your drain trough is clogged and needs dethawing and cleaning.
