Hi, what it's doing is rattling in the blower housing as your blower wheel turns. You need to remove the entire front panel to get to it. Best of luck.

The lint screen may be too long, is it the original part? With all the fussing around, the screen holder may have gotten knocked out of place. Probably going to have to open the machine to get things straight.
You could have an unbalanced tub or the piece is rotating around in the outer tub and making the noise. Contact a professional to have the machine taken apart if the noise continues.
Was it metal? Attach a small magnet on a thin stick or string and pull the thing out. Not metal? Something else to attach an object: sticky tape, wire hook.
No luck? Call Sears and ask their repair department for instructions.
