Is there a recall for the Melanie 343-7134N PTD

The name Melanie was derived from a Greek word meaning "black, dark." It was a common name in France during the Middle Ages, and there was a saint by the name in the 5th century that gave away all of her money to charity. One of the most famous pop culture characters of the name was Melanie Wilkes from the novel and movie "Gone With the Wind."

In my experience, women named Melanie tend to be a bit arrogant and abrasive but they are also talented and very driven so they are often highly successful.

Not if Melanie went straight like she did after "Once Burned" and was shown to be true in "King's Ransom". It's nice when former bad guys turn cold turkey and turn their lives around.

Also, the crib is sold under several different names, Modus Furniture is one of them and it's not listed there either.

General rule of thumb is basically that drop side cribs have been determined unsafe. Most manufacturers are providing an immobilization kit voluntarily even if their crib was not recalled. My crib is from Pottery Barn, wasn't listed on the site but they are sending out kits anyway.

If your crib is a drop side crib, I would call JC Penney to see if they are providing kits....but the answer to your question is no, it has not; but it may be in the future so I would investigate getting a kit through JC Penney.

The manufacturers are not asking for proof of purchase (many folks buy second hand cribs), they are only asking for the information on your crib.

JC Penney Recalls

I was unable to find anything on a recall for this product number. I did find that two other cribs by this manufacturer were recalled (the Jenny Lind and the Arched Spindle crib) but nothing on this model.

I just bought a crib like this one at a garage sale because it was in such good condition. The paper on the bottom of the crib was still intact and was complete including assembly instructions. Here is the information that came with this crib. Hope this helps you.
