SRT2232S 32" will not respond to any remote control

Tv will not respond to any remote control..i believe the sensor has went out. Do you know if that's the problem and if it is, should i fix it or toss it.

    I have the same problem remote does not respond to any input.



    Remote unit does work with different model Sylvania.

    There is no dust on the input sensor.

    I removed the circuit board and resoldered sensor connections.

    Initially remote unit worked ramdomly and then finally stopped completely

Hello,
There are 2 reasons of this problem, check TV remote control, is it working or not?
2nd reason, there can be dust in your TV, aspeacially in front of remote sensor, this can be the cause of No Remote Signal Receive.

My LG TV does not respond to the remote control. I have two of the same TV and the remote controls works fine for the other TV, so I know its not the remote control. I believe the problem is with the tv....
Try using a small miniphone plug such as headphone and plug it into the remote sensor jack on the back, do that a couple of times to clean the contact switch inside, see if that will work first, if not, then you may have IR receiver board problem. Please post back.

Remove back fron tv locate line flyback transformer
on this transformer there should be two adjustment controls very carfully adjust the bottom one, do not adjust to far as picture will have fine white lines on it

The television has stopped responding to its remote and a cable remote.

Have the IR sensor (Infared Sensor) replaced in this model. It is a common failue for Sylvania televisions. The IR sensor is the device used to receive commands from the remote and relay the commands to the microprocessor for processing. The sensor is very inexpensive and the total to repair should not cost you more then (FYI) $80.00 for parts and labor.

this way you can ensure if the infrared is emited normally from your remote control, afterwhat you can decide what to do.

Innovage jumbo remote locked up my sylvania tv
I suspect you have simply switched to an unused input. If you use the original remote you can probably switch the input readily back to what you want.
