Checking if a Printer is installed on Ubuntu.

Go to the Printers window (System > Administration > Printing), if you find the printer you are looking for, it's installed.
If you can't find your printer, i answered a question on how to install a printer on Ubuntu earlier, check it out.

Please rate my solution,
Thank you.

I want to know if the Canon imageCLASS MF3240 is a postscript printer? Other question is there any way for the driver to work under ubuntu 12.04.5?

do you have instruction manual ?
you may be able to print from the printer a settings summary which may show the language the printer is expecting ./
there may be a way for a windows driver to work in ubuntu it is done by either finding a ubuntu driver for the printer (which seems really hard to find) or mucking around using ndiswrapper utility to try and manipulate a driver to work in ubuntu.

Can't not print out in ubuntu 10.10

You will need to visit your printer manufactures website and download and install the Ubuntu 10.10 drivers for your printer. Once these drivers are installed then your operating system will know how to use your printer, meaning that you will be able to print once the correct drivers are installed.

Take care!
