From blackberry knowledge baseJVM Error 535: Interaction with the file system has experienced a catastrophic failure.
Unfortunately there really is nothing else you can do but bring it back to your mobile provider for repairs/exchange/upgrade. Sorry but nothing you do will help. This is a hardware issue with your phone.

My blackberry bold is just on , and the screen stays white saying "JVM error 51?" i don't know what's wrong with it.

Have you ever done a backup with the blackberry desktop manager?

If so, hook up the phone to the PC and restore it.

If not, chances are you installed something that caused this, so try your best to uninstall it.

When in doubt, turn the phone off, pop the battery out and wait 10 seconds before putting it back in and powering it up.

i have the same phone. its JVM error 102 and you'll also get uncaught exception java.lang errors more than likely. its caused by a coruption in the software. its nothing you did, the software just failed. you can call your provider and do an exchange but it takes forever!! if you have a computer you can run the application loader and it will 100% FIX the issues. it saves all your info, wipes the old software, and reloads all the brand new software. this is from tmobiles website t-mobile.com/forums

JVM errors are caused by the corruption of Blackberry handheld software.You'll have to reload the Blackberry handheld Software using Blackberry Desktop Manager.
