Hi,

I believe you are referring to a DVi connector. We have different types of connectors but none of them is DFi. We have VGA, HDMI, SATA, and DVi connectors. Here's a cheklist of what you need to do:

  1. Check the connector of the computer whether you have VGA, HDMI, SATA, or DVi
  2. Check the connector of the monitor whether you have VGA, HDMI, SATA, or DVi
  3. Now that you know the type of connectors you have for your system, you know what cable to buy.
It does not really matter if your computer and monitor have different connectors. We can purchase cables with VGA - VGA, HDMI - HDMI, DVi - DVi, VGA - HDMI, VGA - DVi, HDMI - DVi. So, don't worry and thank you for choosing FixYa!

My PCs monitor shows no boot screens or desktop, on my hp pavilion desktop.

no PC just pavillion stated the case sides sticker HP clearly answer this question, called a service tag
the desktop makes fan sounds, turned on, does it?
2 fans or more, PSU and CPU

monitor tests good , and is not a bad vga cable, proved.
PC (unstated ) bad ok
if PC is bad, and monitor is turned on first
the monitor will show "no signal" or cables not connected or no sync)
(hint, monitor on first, count to 10 turn on PC last)

so test the PC ,oK, it is not hard,.

step 1, do both both fans spin and actually blow air
3 fans or more, with nicer video card with fan.
fan 1 , PSU
fan 2, CPU
fan3, GPU and even case fans exist,
12 steps, #1 is hard power reset.

last of after all is bad motherboard if VGA jack THERE is dead.
i bet it is not a bad mobo, ok.....
if you see 2 VGA jacks on rear of PC or DVI
only one will work, the one on the PCI VGA slot will be active only,so do not use the wrong JACK,]
oK?
I cant see your PC or guess which of vast models made this is, at all.
no monitor stated
no cable types stated,VGA/DVI/HDMI/DP????WHAT/?
NO PC STATED, LIKE PAVILION A6200 SERIES (OLD)
http://pcdied.com/dead-PC.html

why post lacking PC model.?
huge # of models, must be guess and guess wrong?
good luck, finding it , the tests are very easy, ask how.8676cba3-0a30-411d-a00f-a0e47c78e86f.jpgpav2-wo3xuzxrf1fbbh20dngovhzw-1-2.jpg8676cba3-0a30-411d-a00f-a0e47c78e86f.jpg

Alba 22 Inch monitor drivers

You need to explain your actual problem. What operating system, graphics card, PC, resolution required, monitor model number, connector type being used (VGA, DVI, HDMI) etc.
Monitors don't usually require drivers to work. Drivers for your graphics card may affect operation or you may be using the wrong lead/connector/interface.

I want the pictures of VGA CABLE of Samsung Sync Master 798 MB plus

Hey,
All VGA cables going to a CPU are essentially the same. Although, you may come across two types of cables. Picture 1 shows male-to-male connections. One end goes to the monitor and the other one to the CPU. The 2nd picture shows a male-to-male connector. It's always male-to-male connectors. However, you may use a male-to-female connector if you want to extend the existing VGA cable. Before buying it, just check what type of connection your CPU and monitor have at the back, for safety sakes.

I need to buy a new monitor. What kind of monitor will it support, GA, DVI, HDMI ? Thanks.

You should go for a Widescreen LCD ro LED monitor. They all support VGA and DVI. If you get a Full HD screen then it will have a HDMI connection also. Just make sure your Display card can handle it.

DVI ==> Digital Video Input
If your monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs,
and your PC's video-card has both DVI and VGA outputs,
then buy a DVI-to-DVI cable, and use it, for a better picture.
If your monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs,
and your PC's video-card only has VGA output,
then use a VGA-to-VGA cable.
Or, purchase a video-card with DVI output,
to replace the video-card with VGA output,
and then use a DVI-to-DVI cable.

Monitor is blinking green light but no dark screen

does you cpu have a built in vga or you use a separate card? check at the back of the cpu, if you are using a cpu that has a built in vga and youre using a separate vga card may you have just connected your lcd monitor on the built in in which many cases will not work you need to connect your lcd on the separate vga card, if that is not the case and you head a beeping sound with intervals then there a problem with your vga card now if you use built in video you need to put on a separate vga card agp or pci-e which ever is supported by your motherboard, hope this help

My monitor will not come on, the on/off light flashes occasionally and the monitor gives over a very brief light

make sure that your cpu is working. if the cpu is dead, there will be no display in the monitor. If the monitor light is flashing as you said, it could be the CPU not sending video signal to the monitor. also check if the cpu beeps when you start your computer. if not, check your cpu. try to re-seat your RAM modules. this will solve most of these types of problems

Just upgraded VGA card to GeForce 9800GT. Now LG

Sounds like your Video card is not installed properly, you should take it out and then put it back securely into the motherboard. If its installed properly the monitor should come on during the start up screen at least to show the type of video card installed.

Also let me ask what model was your old Video card?

My monitor's power light is on, but there is no display.

Something may be wrong with your video card. Or it could just be loose. Open your CPU, remove your video card (the PCI card where you attach the monitor cable) and reinsert it. Make sure that you remove static electricity from your hands by placing it onto the sides of your CPU casing before handling the video card.
