I have a samsung fridge freezer model SRL 628 EV. It was unplugged to move but when it was plugged back in ( off for only seconds) the alarm sounded and wouldnt go off no matter what buttons I pressed on the control panel . So I turned it off and back on again in order to reset itself as the manual said but the alarm is constant. I left it with alarm on while I went out thinking it might correct itself when I came back, but no luck. Have tried swithching on/off quickly and leaving it overnight but no luck, when swithched back on the alarm sounds. I had to empty the fridge/freezer as it was not refridgerating anymore, interior light doesnt come on, but a few of the lights on the fridge side of temperature bar were lit up and flashed with sound of alarm, when you turn off at the plug the whole control panel lights as if it is going to work but nothing happens. To reset the panel on your Russell Hobbs fridge, unplug the fridge from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes. Then plug it back in and the panel should reset itself. If the panel still displays the EC alarm, you may need to contact a qualified service technician for further assistance.

Check the temperture and make the freezer and fridge in the middle setting...wait 24 hours and see if that helps.

If you have high voltage alarm, that will not stop light from coming on. Would make sure alarm is correct. First unplug fridge for 30 seconds then plug back in this should reset alarm If alarm stays off you should be OK if alarm comes back on have someone to check with voltmeter to make sure voltage is high. If not you probably need control board.

Press and hold power freeze and power cool buttons at same time for 10 seconds to reset.

Over the past several years my heat alarm would come on, first time I called a PROFESSIONALLY, he told me to unplug for 24HOURS, than start it. The solution worked for two years, just happened again, unplugged it for 24 hours, and it seems fine. My guess it must need to defrost. Good luck!

Call Samsung. I had the same problem when Best Buy delivered mine. The delivery people left the fridge in demo mode. The people at Samsung will talk you through it, it is very simple. The fridge should work fine then.

When replaceing the highvoltage control board be careful to not handle it too much as nano voltages can burn it. Unplug before repair. Simply hook it up the way you unhooked it very easy and in the left back of the fridge. Now that it's installed plug fridge in and push back to wall. Look at model tag and write down your code something like 0304 most likely. Go to digital control hold down door alarm and freezer - minus button for 3sec. then let off door alarm now you should see PE flashing the fridge wants personality code (the one you have wrote down). Let off minus now it should show 0000 now push minus once more a decimal should show up 0.000 the decimal indicates what number your about to change. Move the decimal with freezer plus button and lower or higher number setting with fridge side buttons.Once your done hold down freezer minus till the numbers are flashing then open any door and close. Now the fridge should be working properly.Hope I helped
