If you need to reset it, you can get a recovery disk from IBM Lenovo which will be much cheaper than getting a new copy of Windows. When you call up IBM, make sure you keep your serial no handy.
Your hard disk in all likelihood is just a single partitioned hard drive so it gives c and d. From your description, it probably need replacing, just replace the harddrive and buy a usb cd/dvd drive
You can uninstall the present sound drivers.Before you do this however download the latest drivers from the Ibm website.Reinstall them this should take care of your sound issue.

The wireless driver may got corrupted or uninstalled.
Go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager - Click on Network Adapters and if the wireless card is listed click on it to see if it is working and enabled. If not then reinstall the wireless driver.
