Hello,
fairly common, If you hit F8 during the start up process, until you get to see "advanced start up options" select Disable automatic restart on system failure and hit enter.
You should then get a Blue screen as the computer crashes instead of restarting automatically, if you could post me the error codes and messages from the bottom - I may then be able to see if we can fix it or if you have to reinstall windows to the computer.
Thank you very much for your reply. The problem detected seems to be:
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0X000000ED (0X8A7C08D0, 0XC0000006, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)
unmountable boot volume indicates a problem with the hard drive, with a normal windows installation disc appropriate for your windows version, you can try performing a repair installation, or you can take the computer to a local shop where they can short it out for you if you don't have such a disc. from the error message I almost assume you have windows xp on the computer, I've written instructions and can link them for you if you get such a disc, if its a vista computer just put the disc in and start it, from it select Repair my computer when you get to the vista setup.
