SOURCE: model cd55 Ryobi cordless drill driver

Your drill probably has a bad or stripped drive gear. Does the drill operate in forward w/a battery that is not fully charged but yet good.?

SOURCE: Very little juice in freshly charged batteries

have you tried the batterys in any other tool?

you would also need to check the voltage of the batterys they should be at least 18 volts (19 prefered)

then if the batterys do not show charged you would need to make sure the battery charger is putting out voltage.

After that contact your closest Ryobi service center we would check that for free to let you know what you need, I am sure you local place would do the same.

SOURCE: Ryobi impact drill compatibility with normal drill bits

Round bits are not compatible with the Ryobi impact drivers. You need the hex shank "quick connect" bits and accessories. There is an adapter available. it is basically a regular style of keyless drill chuck with the quick connect hex shank that should fit right in to your Impact.

I lost my boyfriends charger to his power glide drill 14.4v how can he charge it now or where can i get another charger from

Knowing which brand the charger makes a difference. If it's a DeWalt , Rigid, Ryobi you can find them at Home Depot. If it's a DeWalt, Porter Cable, Black & Decker, Kobalt, or Bosch you can find it at Lowes. Other brands can be found online. It is specific to the brand of cordless tool it is, batteries are made in different shapes and there are no universal chargers.

I have a black & decker pivot plus that will not charge. How do I know if I need a battery or if I need a charger?

Batteries are only good for about a year, if they are older than that, take them back to the store and see if they are guaranteed at all, (all Ryobi tools and batteries have a date code on them, and they are all guaranteed for 2 years, a little plug for Ryobi,) that is all I buy now days, they work great. So, to check your charger, you will need a volt meter set on 12 or 20 v dc, and see if the charger is putting out, if not, then, the cost of a new ryobi might be the same as the fix for the black and decker. That is if you use the thing, we use our cordless tools every day and charge them every night, hope this helps.

I bought my drill from the US and as we know its 110v AC there, i want to make the charger into a car charger 12v DC. is there any way of doin this and if so can someone please help me

You cannot convert an AC charger into a DC charger for a cordless tool, no matter what you do. The charger has a transformer that operates only on an AC current only. You did not state what battery your drill has, but a range of chargers are available for cordless tools, as long as the batteries are 12v or less. Speak to your hardware outlet.
