I recently purchased a Shark Deluxe Steam Mop, and have used it in my kitchen and bathroom several times, and it keeps leaving a dull, streaky finish. I washed the pads first, tried different types of pads, and started using only distilled water, but nothing seems to be working. Should this problem subside after time?

Has it got wet inside at all? If so it could sort itself out after drying out.
But I would keep leaving the door open as you do, or replace it. Because it is a safety risk, if it came on while empty, after a while it could set fire to itself.
