Disable windows active desktop then reactivate it. That will take care of it. Microsoft Windows XP users

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Open the Display icon.
  3. Click the Desktop tab.
  4. Click the Customize Desktop button.
  5. Click the Web tab in the Desktop Items window.
If you wish to enable the Active Desktop, check "My Current Home Page". Add your current home page into your desktop or click New to add another web page and/or other Active Desktop features. To update the content, click the Synchronize button.
If you wish to disable Active Desktop, make sure all checkboxes in this window are un-checked.
Microsoft Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 users

Msn.com website redirects through lenovo.ca first then msn

you must go to the tool in your browser IE or Firefox Mozilla , open the tab for main pages, put the home pages that you want, and make click and ready. However you must update your add-on and plugins.

Any help on the dell.vs11.msn.com home page hijacking?

My page was redirecting to dell.v14.msn.com, but your problem could be exactly the same as mine.

I’ve been wrestling with this problem for several days and finally found a solution that works for me. The redirect can be repaired by going to http://dell.my.msn.com. Just going to this page seems to reset the redirect of the msn.com home page to http://dell.msn.com.
I still have no answer to how to get rid of the redirect altogether, but at least I don’t get the broken links page anymore.

Windows live (online) not working.

I think it's due to the new update to the msn server. Try downloading the new msn - http://windowslive.com/desktop/messenger

Windows Media Center comes up with Windows Messenger failure, though Messenger is installed and running. This seems to cause the program Guide to be Not Available. Norman

Click Start>Run then copy this text into the run box and click OK:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

This will uninstall Windows messenger 4.7 from your machine.
This is Windows messenger and not MSN messenger, Windows messenger comes bundled with all versions of XP and is meant for LAN messenging (your personal network in your home or office, if you have one)
