Poulan pro bvm200vs, what is the spark plug gap suppossed to be set at?????????????

The flywheel should have a woodruff key on it, which fits in the groove on the crank shaft. This means the timing is pre set. When setting the timing gap, use a business card between the magnet on the flywheel and the ignition module, tighten them in that position and remove the card.

Is fuel getting into the cylinder and actually wetting the plug.?
Do you have good compression?

The gap for all Poulan chainsaws, regardless of the spark plug used, is .025.

remove the wires that go to the kill switch and try it if still no spark the coil is bad

Use a clean and dry business card or other card stock paper to set the gap. That is almost perfect for the .006" setting.
