I got it to work.

First, I downloaded the software from the Radio Shack site at:
http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/SoftwareDownload/4300127.exe

Once downloaded, I ran this to extract the files to my hard drive under c:\4300127.

Next I went to my Device Manager (My computer->Manage->Device Manager) and under Other Devices found my 43-127 recorder.

I right-clicked on this and selected properties. Then I clicked Update Driver.

I then selected "Browse my computer for driver software". I then selected the C:\43-127 directory and selected ok. I got a warning about not finding the publisher but I opted to install the driver software anyway.

One other thing I noted; When I start the recorder software I have to select "Run as administrator" otherwise the files aren't able to download to my hard drive. This may be just due to a security setting on my computer.

Hope this helps!

Just use the driver for Vista (either 32-bit of 64-bit depending on your set up) - it works with Windows 7. The Vista driver is provided in the 'driver' directory of the 43-127 software.

Have you tried it on Windows 7? I can't get Windows 7 to recognize the device using the Vista driver

Thank you very much. I had no idea where I had lost the software. You brought it back to life, Great job. Again thank you. -S.M. Rickman

Where do I download a driver for Philips Speechmike Classic 6264 that can be used with Windows 7?

Unfortunately I cannot find any references to driver installation for versions of Windows beyond Windows XP. The possibly means the hardware is not natively compatible with Windows 7. You can try installing the Windows XP driver using either compatability mode or if push comes to shove you can use the XPMode virtual machine to run the device in a true Windows XP environment with Windows 7 Virtual PC. I would contact Philips customer support for more information.

I have CENIX Power Voice II digital recorder working with Windows XP...now i have upgraded to Windows 7. what do i do to run it on Windows 7, to download my recordings etc.? pl. advise.

It is not compatible with Windows 7. You can go to the Microsoft Download Center and download and install Virtual PC. It is a console that allows you to run another operating system virtually. One installed you can install Windows XP inside it. From there you can install your application and run it from there.

Recording a Phone Conversation

Olympus makes a device that allows you to record telephone conversations without having to hook up anything to the actual telephone. It is called a TP-7. It connects one end to the voice recorder in the mic jack and the other end is an ear bud microphone so that you are able to record the person who you are speaking to on the telephone so that the voice recorder captures both sides of the conversation.
go to emporium.olympus.com click on the link for voice recorders select your voice recorder and then look for the TP-7.
