I have Makita BHP451 drill/hammer
when i press a trigger the LED light lights up, but the drill is not spining. my batteries are in perfect condition and charged.
I took drill apart and i noticed that one "Carbon Brush" is stock in it's place and wont move. what else could be wrong and how do i fix it

check the position of the forward/reverse switch as if it is not properly positioned the current doesn't know which way to spin the motor
check that switch for loose wire or being faulty
Bjarne, odds are the variable speed function of the trigger is failing. There are Makita repair centers that perform repair, and sell parts if you want to take it on as a DIY project. Before proceeding, I would make sure the warranty has expired. If it is still in warranty a Makita repair center should repair it for no charge.
look inside the chuck for a screw. it will be a left handed screw.once you get the screw out put the chuck in a vice . you will need to squeeze it very tight. then put the drill in reverse and pull the trigger.if i wont come off you will need to hit the chuck with a hammer while you are holding the trigger.
