This printer will take either the PG-30 or PG-40 (larger size) cartridges for black ink, and either the CL-31 or CL-41 (larger size) cartridges for color ink.

Canon MP210 Third Party Ink Canon Does Not Work!

When the error message comes up, try pressing the "stop/reset" button and holding it down for at least 5 seconds. This works when I get an error message with compatible cartridges (only my error message says the ink is empty - and I know it isn't)

Hello my canon mp210 shows an error E 2 please help thank u

Check to see if your ink carriage is sliding across when you turn on the printer.
If not turn off open scanner to turn and and slight pull to start to reboot cycle.

That is what I had to do with mine when it was flashing E2

Inserting the ink cartridges!

I read one of the earlier posts which helped; the problem was that there is a dock built in to the left, but that is NOT where the ink goes! The real place hides to the right and only slides over when the printer is turned on. I had to almost force it to get it to stay to the left over the dock so I could actually insert the ink cartridge. The previous posters' soluntion, turning the printer on so the cartridge dock moves into view, is the only thing that worked for me.
