Problem with touchpad sony vaio vgn-ns295d my touchpad is only works when i touch it with two fingers, otherwise its not, and when i touch it with two fingers then i remove one and it works.. seems really strange for me..

You could try going to
start
settings
control panel
mouse
and move the slider over to the right to make the response quicker
click apply and ok

and see if that helps

this is common and is caused generally by two fingers touching the little touchpad, if your navigating with one finger as we all do on the touchpad and another finger touches it the cursor will junp to the position of the second touch. most people dont realise they are doing it but these things are so sensitive that it pick up the slightest touch. if this isnt the problem the go to the control panel and select device manager then click on touchpad or input device and then go the properties and update the driver. ok i hope that helps. let me know how you go.

reinstall the driver

i have sony vaio vgn-sz58gn model laptop with windows xp installed. but on touchpad whenever i move cursor to up, it goes to down. if u move cursor to down, it goes up. can you provide me solution pls for that?

dear kenkasza, i am afraid that you will lose the warranty if you open ya laptop all by yourself.

usually there are screws coming upward from the bottom to remove the keyboard,then you have to remove the palmrest which the touchpad is integrated into.
