Just did this on mine today. Use an allen wrench to back off both the upper and lower set screws (Note: you do not need to back them all the way out). The handle will then easily pull away from the door. With a 1/4" socket, tighten the screws holding the upper and lower lugs on the door. Place the handle back on and tighten the upper and lower set screws.

This info is accurate, though instead of an allen wrench, Kitchenaid recommends a Torx screwdriver or wrench. I saw a reference to a T20 size, but my screws were smaller, perhaps a T15 size. Worked perfectly, in any case. Thank you.

The handle on the front of frig is loose....how do I tigthen.

Hi.

The handles are retained by tiny screws. You will need an allen key to tighten the screws. If the handle is damaged you will need to replace the part. If you need to replace the handle buy the single handle rather than the kit. The kit will be more expensive.

Please refer to video and diagram below. Click on the diagram to enlarge the picture:

There should be some small Allen (Hex) screws on each bottom side of the handle. Just use a Allen wrench and tighten it up.

The handle of my side by side Kitchen Aid refrigerator is loose. The model number is KSCS25INSS00. It has circular open holes on the handle, no screws? How do I tighten it?

Use an allen wrench (hex) to remove loosen the set screws in the two handle holes. Once removed, tighten the mounting lug. Replace the handle and tighten the hex set screws.

I have a ksbp25fkss side by side fridge and the door handle on the freezer is loose, but the handle is not the one depicted in the manuel. the handle must be tightened from the back or inside of the door....

you should have trim below and above the handle if not then and its a stainless steel door then there is small round opening on the side of the handle you'll need allen wrenches once you loosen the allen the handle slides up or down then you will be able to tighten the stud post screw then reverse the mounting -----------------be cautious of scratching the stainless steel door when removing the handles

Door handle is loose

If my memory serves me correctly, you should see two posts attached to the refrigerator door right now. The handle slips over these posts and if you look closely there is a little hole in the handle where you would insert a allen key wrench to tighten the little screw against the post protruding from the door itself. With the door handle in your hand, properly match up the correct allen wrench to fit the allen screw very snug. Realign the door handle on the protrucing posts and tighten. Once finished, you should have a tight fitting door handle again. Let us know if we can help further.....Eric

Handle loose on Refrigerator

I have same problem. Just called KitchenAid and they told me I needed a T-20 torque key - you can buy it from them or at a hardware store. Good luck.
