RTG 74-PVN-2 Rheem tankless water heater. Works fine for a month or so at a time, then I get C2 - 13 error code. Did I hear this model was recalled?

My richmond tankless water heater flashes a error code c7 and c8. sometimes it works great but more often then not it flashes the codes. how can i fix it myself?

Indoor tankless 74-pvn. power went off and has returned. get error code 24 when try to power on

Error codes are considered start-point for troubleshoot.
Error code 24 is malfunction of operational switch: press max or min button on PC board to reset, -or- replace PC board.
Max-min button is sometimes located above dip switches, and can be 1 button that is rotated with screwdriver or 2 separate buttons. Look at wiring diagram in manual that came with product.

Fix most tankless problems yourself, same day, for $330.

I have a Rheem rtg 74dvp but its not heating and the display show me 1 76 and 2 76, and come all the time to 76 F and another times its blinking the temperature, but not heat

Error code 76 is communication problem between remote control and tankless unit.

I have error codes "C2"

Error code 11 has to do with ignition/gas/gas pressure/electrical grounding.
This can be caused by internal part failure or combination of internal or external factors.
I suggest reading pdf, and then calling service technician who specializes in your brand.

The word maintenance is used throughout manual, indicating that tankless are a yearly budget nuisance

Model RTG-42PVP my display is switching back and forth between A1 and 21.

I believe error code A1 21 is malfunction of Air intake filter switch
Ensure air filter door is seated.
Ensure front panel properly installed

Can't find manual & have a C7 error code on a Rheem tankless water heater model # rtg-74pvm-1.

need to contact rheem what you can do until then is remove the control wire it will run until parts ship out

Rheem Pronto RTG-74 error code C4

Error code 13 is "oxygen depletion sensor" activated.
The first number is a sequence indicator.
If you need the training manual I have it and can send it to you.
I got Rheem to send it to me a while back and it is a big help when working with these units.
It covers th RTG-42, 53, 66 and 74.
