I have replaced new cartridge in Epson Stylus D120 still printer is not working and shows cartridge empty light on.

Yes I understand that, I think your proilem maybe that there is dirt/ ink on the slide bars. ( Sublimation ink ias notorious for imparting a residue)

So take a cloth and clean those metal rods that the cartridges slide along. They should reveal a lot of dirt on the rag. Then use some wd 40 or light sewing machine oil on another rag and wipe on wipe off. They only need a very slight amount.

If you replaced with "genuine" ink-cartridges, then it should report "full".

If you replaced with "refilled" ink-cartridges, then the company that refilled forgot to "reset" the electronics inside the ink-cartridge, in order to report "full".

Or, perhaps, the software "toolbox" that came with the printer has a button "I have installed new cartridges, please re-verify the ink-levels" ??? Click that button.

The cartridges for this printer can be refilled. The chip needs to be reset on them so I suggest going to Cartridge World for refills because they have a 100% guarantee that they will work. The chip resetters can be pricey and filling these cartridges is messy without the proper equipment.

Show empty or not recognized (cross sign)? Check connector at chip and at head carriage. Do replacement procedure form status monitor (how to..). Do replacement ink tank one by one with cyan ink first.

Yup that's Epson for you. I had the same. bought the black one but to get it to work you must have ALL the ink cartridges full. no way around it.

Are you sure there is space for 5 cartridges? You are using T0711-714 right?

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

All you can do is take it out and put it back in, if it reads ink out then chances are that is a bad cartridge. call epson for replacement.
