This is not an issue with the main board . Its a clear case of faulty LCD controller board or the LCD panel itself is faulty(most likely). I suppose the sound is not affected?
Its not cotrller panel. Its the LCD controller or the LCD panel. Yes there is a possibility that its the LCD controller but like I said its most likely to be the LCD panel itself. There were numerous lawsuits here in India against the LCD panels of Samsung going bad after a couple of years. Also the part number of the LCD controller should match exactly. If you read the not below the part, it say "Always order only by part number"

The inverters were replaced unnecessarily - nothing to do with this problem. The failure of the image processor from the main would have caused corruption on all the screen so that board was also replaced for nothing.
Multicolored lines signal that only those pixel lines are badly controlled by the buffer board responsible with this side of the screen - it will be the LJ41-01193A or LJ41-01194A . A replacement costs $50 so open the tv, identify exactly the board and get a new one from

No, each chip on the buffer board is responsible for a part of the screen. If it would have been the T-Con board it would have indeed covered exactly half of the screen.
OK.
Yes, the display must be removed from the case. No, it's not difficult, it's just a long job in which is mandatory to have another person with you. A manual will always help, order one if you feel that you can't do the job safely - the screen is very fragile, you must be very careful when working around it. The parts are almost surely the ones for which i gave you the links.

with only 1/3 of the screen out do you still think its the controller panel? wouldn't a bad controller panel split the screen in half? When you say lcd panel itself you mean the $1300 screen itself? Will send back other parts and order the lcd controller panel if you still think thats a possibility with only a 1/3 of the screen out with the colored lines, 2/3's of the screen fine sound fine. question on replacement part, when i look up the part numbers on shopjimmy.com the part number of the lcd controller shows for a different model. PART# FHD60C4LVO.3 IS THE LCD CONTROLLER FOR LN52A580PFXZA, however when i look up the part it shows it going to a LTF400HA03. what do you think, should work? thanks Kevin
Azraelsrl, Thanks for your reply...last tech suggested t-conn board so i have ordered it before your response. the buffer board is located above the t-conn board I assume? I will replace it next, however I am concered that only 1/3 of the screen is affected, if either the t-conn board or the buffer board were defective wouldn't that affect that entire half of the screen, not just a third of it? I do believe the buffer board is my last hope before accepting that it's the display itself...thanks Kevin..
makes sense, i'll order that buffer board and see, thanks Kevin
ok I want to replace the buffer board you mentioned but can not see how to remove it, do i have to pull the display from the case? is this that difficult? should i order a manual? will accept your answer when i try a new buffer board. need to remove it for part numbers. thanks Kevin
yes very helpful will use your service again turned out to be bad display.... : ( oh well will try again on different set...thanks Kevin
