My hp pavillon dv1000 misses audio controller. video controller and network contoller drivers. I installed windows 7 as operating system. could you help me to find them?

Please go to this site and select the operating system you are running. Audio drivers may be under Audio or chip set. Please note that Vista drivers should work with Windows 7. Hope this helps.

Welcome to Fixya. If you will check the support website of HP the model DV1000 dont have available drivers for windows 7 system. However you can try to use the driver of Windows Vista if it will works. DV1000 was released before the Windows 7 OS that's why the driver is not available.

The best thing I would advise you to do, is this:

Connect your system to the internet,

Right-Click on my computer icon,

Go to the device manager on your system,

Right click on the icon specifying the audio driver(which was not
installed),

Select Update driver software,

On the options that comes up, select update software online

automatically, then wait for it to do the remaining.

After a while, it will show 'Installing Device driver update'.

Just wait for it to finish.

Then click on finish/ok/close.

I can guarantee you that your audio will work perfectly after that.

Sir, i have HP Pavilion dv 1000 (XP operating system). Recently, i upgrade it by Window 7 but Now audio driver is not working properly now. pl suggest to solve it.----- pratik

First, try downloading and installing the Audio Drivers from the link below :

Please save the file in the Notebook and double click it after the download completes to install the drivers.

This Drivers should provide you the required/previous options in the Audio Properties.

I found the problem to be a rather simple but frustrating one....when is an HP dv1000 not a dv1000....almost always!! You cannot get the correct downloads based on the model number on the tag. You must specify the PRODUCT NUMBER on the HP download site from the tag, not model. You can enter the general DV1000 and get to the download page and look for the entry "Not your Product?!" Follow that link and enter the PN from the tag....download those and you will get drivers that work with your unit. My "DV1000" was actually a DV1660!!!!
