how did you delete them?
did you delete them instantly from the file page or through the program they probably gave you with your mp3?

Also, if you removed your mp3 without clicking the "safely remove hardware" button before disconnected your mp3 with the computer, than it may have caused confussion with your hardware.

plug it up to the computer and then you should see somthing that says add/or delete songs

to add or delete songs you simply view it as a hard drive then drag and drop the sings you want on the folder marked sansa.  to delete do the same thing in reverse.

To delete the songs on your RCA, attach the usb cord to your computer, and turn on your rcy lyra mp3 player.
(if you dont have any pc then you could do this from a friends (or evern an internet cafe) pc as well, it doesnt hurt or harm anything and theres no need to install anything either)

Next,
go into windows and open up a folder --- any folder will do (you can use one on your desktop if you like) once the folder opens, please click the little arrow around the top of the folder. you should see it say :
Desktop,
My Documents,
My computer
c:\
(and which ever drives you have on your pc) please look for one called:
RCA_LYRA.

once you see that one, please click on it.
then, what you will see in your folder is all of the music you have inside your mp3 player.
To delete those files, and any mp3 songs, highlight them, and press delete. then press ok and there you are. if you would like to move the songs to your computer, just highlight them and drag them onto your desktop, or another folder, or where ever yopu would like to put them.

once your done, just unplug and there you go (oh! you can also add files to your player this way. just add them into the folder with your mp3 pluged in).

I love my mp3 player but it is soooo boring. i can't add music and i don't have any good songs. Someone please help me before i go off.

go into wmp11 and disable the auto synch feature, then you will be able to add your own. depending on the size of the files, and the length of the songs, you are about right with the 510 number.

when you plug in the mp3 player via usb, it should show as a removable drive, probably showing as an 'E' or 'F' drive. You will be able to double click it to view all your mp3's, it's also an easy way to add your files in this way, just copy the songs from wherever you have them saved, then paste them into your mp3 player.

if u want to delete songs off of ur mp3 then plug it in then either go to windows media player and delete them or go to the option that says open files on explorer and if u want to download songs then get a downloading program and find the songs u want and download them i hope this helps

YOUR NOT GOING TO HAVE THE OPTION ON THE MP3 PLAYER, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION WHEN YOU LOAD IT TO THE COPUTER. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS RIGHT CLICK ON THE SONGS THAT YOU WANT REMOVED AND SELECT DELETE. I HOPE THAT WORKS FOR YOU. THE IPOD ISSUE I HAVE NOT CLUE SORRY
