"CH 01" shows on the display screen

When our dehumidifier is plugged in and turned on, the % Present shows "CH" and the % Set shows "01".  The filter, coils, and bucket have been cleaned.

I have the same issue as mine dehumidifier shows ch 01 with the empty bucket light on. Mine if unplugged for a minute will restart for 3 seconds then show the code above.
The bucket isn't used as I have a hose connected to the unit. I have cleaned the filter every other week and took front and back panels off to make sure nothing was blocking the fins or fan. I service elevators and very capable of replacing a board or micro switch if need be. I just need to know what is the faulty part that needs replacing.
    Thanks for any info

This will need to be serviced. LG has a 5 year warranty on these models. They usually will tell you of a service center nearby which will service it free of charge since it is under warranty. If you do not live near a service center they may ship you a replacement and you send your old dehumidifier back to them. Make sure you have your reciept when you contact them so they can verify it is under 5 years old.

Had the same problem and just replaced the part tonight. Part is here: http://www.repairclinic.com/LG-Dehumidifier-Model-LHD45ELY8-ID-865500-Sensor-Thermistor-Parts. You can locate your model # by pulling bucket out of unit. Model number located on a sticker inside of unit. One problem that I ran into was getting the front grill off. -pull the bucket out of unit -two screws will become visible in middle left and right corners. Remove these -once the screws are removed youll need to press in on both sides of the unit. Press in on the metal part of the unit with the base of your hands, close to the edge of where the sides of the plastic grill meet the metal part. There are tabs in that vicinity that'll release the grill. - pull up on the grill gently to release those tabs. Youll see the existing sensor - to get at the sensor you'll need to take the metal cover off as well as the plastic piece in the back. Youll need to unscrew roughly fifteen screws. All of them are easy to spot -once cover is off just trace the sensor wire. Remove sensor from the grill, unplug the cable from the board, unplug the double connector, remove metal covered piece from copper crimp A Couple of notes: You'll notice a a part of the sensor that is inside of a copper crimp.. I used a screw driver to open it up to remove the sensor/pair of pliers to close it The double plug connector was tough to remove. I used a pair of needle nosed pliers to disconnect. Zip ties can be cut

CH 01 Indicates that water collection tank is full and needs to be removed & emptied. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, before removing the bucket.

The dehudifier won't come on in and in the digital display the message CH 01 comes up. Any idea what the problem is?

CH 01 usually indicates that the filter is dirty and needs to be removed and cleaned. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, before removing the filter. Never operate the unit without the filter in place.

Hi, When I tried to start my dehumidifier, it won't work and indicate CH 01. The bucket is totally empty and in good place. What this CH 01 means?

Your model is no longer in manufacture or available. However, I was able to locate the Owners Manual for you. It does not list a CH 01 Error Code, but does list other reasons why your unit want turn ON.

In the past, I have recommended turning the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplugging the unit for 12-15 minutes. This will give the unit time to hopefully, reset itself. Then Plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity control as you normally would. If it successfully reset itself, it should operate normally.

If you continue to have problems, contact LG Customer Support at 800-243-0000.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem.

I have an LG LHD65EBL dehumidifier. When I checked on it today the unit was not running and the display read "CH 01". I tried cleaning the filter, cleaning the front of the coils, and resetting the unit by...

Hi

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.

If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Take care.
