the code indicates the failure of fixing motor. there can be jamming in fixing unit, either one of te gears or the roller bearings may have jammed,or fixing motor failure.
open front cover, release developer lever at right, release feeder lever at down right corner, unscrew the centre screw at the top of the drum unit, slide out the drum unit, at the back of unit u will find a clear plastic cap remove it and empty the waste toner reverse all the process to place all togather.

Hi, You cannot add staples while there are still some left in the cartridge, you will have to wait until it is all finished, the paper holder comes out from the bottom of the cartridge, remove the old staple paper holder, pay careful attention or put a mark on the outside, now you are ready to insert the new staples in the cartridge. First you need to remove the new staples and take out the wrapper carefully, line up the arrow with the cartridge and insert it into the cartridge then snap it into place, replace the cartridge in the machine when you are done.
Thats it.
This fix is for the small finisher that hangs on the machine, it`s called M1 Finisher.
It can be one of two things... It may be the drum needs to be replaced or it could be the fixinf film is ripped and damaged. It maybe the transfer unit or the developing unit?
Open the front cover. Towards the right side about half way down, there is a plastic lever. This will rotate to release the Developer/Toner Unit away from the Drum Unit. Pull the Unit outwards...it should stop before coming all the way out (unless someone has removed the stopper) Please use the correct type of Canon Toner as it fits on top of the Unit and unlatches Toner cover to add the toner. (Canon Type GPR-2). The instructions should be in picture format on inside of front cover.
