I have a Frigidaire Front Loader Washer Model # ATFB6000FSO which at times does not drain or makes a loud noise during draining. I believe I have a clogged water pump or filter. What is the best way to access the water pump and filter to clean? thanks for any help. Looking for a step by step disassembly to access these parts.

You need to lean it back and remove the lower panel, you will have complete access to the water pump, disconnect hose clamps, remove and clean the rubber boot, disconnect electrical connector and 2 screws holding pump, Replace with new pump, before beginning take pictures to ensure proper installation

SOURCE: Washer Stopped Spinning

My Frigidaire front loading washer is less than 2 years old and YES there is a belt, I am going to replace my 3rd belt this week.....the wheel on the back of the drum has moved enough, even after numberous times of tightening, that it has worn a HUGE hole in the back of the drum from the belts. I will NEVER buy another product from them again, due to not standing behind their product and sending a repair man to my home to fix it, then telling me that I will have to replace the drum....(ltf2940es0).

check to make sure all hoses are not clogged - our washer hose before the pump was clogged due to washing a rug that had deteriorating rubber backing - would not drain until I flushed out the hose that goes from the tub t the pump.

SOURCE: drum wont drain

We had the same problem and the repairman found a Color Catcher sheet clogging the outlet drain inside the machine. Not covered in the warranty but after he removed it, runs like a charm. And cost us $114.00. We called the color catcher hotline and they sent us $50.00 for our problem.

SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire Crown Front loader washer,

The problem is probably the pump being clogged with an object. Typically it is a coin.
Remove the front bottom cover to access the pump. Remove the two hoses. Make sure you have a pan to catch the water from the hoses. You will be able to remove the objects after the hoses are removed.

SOURCE: My model #gltr1670aso makes loud noises during spin cycle

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

Ltf2940fe

Hi Kimberly, this is AP. Thank you for your post.

I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire front load washer, model LTF2940FE, not draining or spinning. There are a few possibilities that could be causing this to happen.

Overuse of detergent can result in oversudsing then restricting the tub from turning properly and not spinning out. You can attempt running a cold water rinse cycle to get rid of suds if this is case.

Another possibility could be that the drain hose is too long or restricted. If the drain pump makes a humming noise there could be a restriction in the drain line. Confirm that your standpipe (located in the rear of the washer) height is not higher than 96" and not below 24". Lastly, if the drain pump does not make a humming noise once the washer is in the spin cycle a defective timer or drain pump could be the cause of your washer not draining or spinning

If you can determine that oversudsing, a too long or clogged drain hose is not the root of the problem I would recommend contacting an authorized technician. Contacting an authorized technician can ensure no troubleshooting step has been missed. Parts can be costly and if the problem is precisely diagnosed, it can save you a lot of time and funds. I have provided a link below that will assist you in locating and authorized technician in your area if needed. I hope this information proves helpful for you.

Hello, Frigidaire washer will not drain, its not clogged. makes loud humming noise when it should drain.

The drain pump has gone bad , it probably has a broken impeller. These units require you to remove the back panel to replace the drain pump assy.

Frigidaire front load washer LTF2940FE0 wont drain

That loud noise is most likely debris bouncing around inside your water pump. Pull the 2 hoses off and try removing it by hand, or un-bolt it from the floor pan and tip it sideways to shake any small objects out. I found a mans wedding ring in there once.

Frigidaire front washer has power but won't fill up, drain or go through correct cycles

You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. First set the washer to drain and spin. If you hear a hum or grinding noise and the water in the tub isn't draining or it's draining slowly you have something in the pump. If you take the rear panel off you'll reveal the drain pump at the right front corner or maybe middle on this model. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp (this can be tricky) attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. (you may want to have some old towels ready) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!
