Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

What is error code F30?

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer 3 months old

"AF" is a restricted air flow condition. You say you've only had your dryer for 3 months, but have you ever cleaned the ducting? You need to check the lint screen> after every load, AND you need to perform routine cleaning of the dryer venting (inside the dryer, as well as the vent line from the dryer to where it exits the house) about every three months. If left in this condition, the dryer heating circuitry will eventually failed and/or you could cause a fire hazard. An easy way to check to see if you have a clog somewhere is to remove the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer. Run the dryer to see if you have air flow coming from the back of the unit. The air should be about 140 degrees F and forceful. Check to see if the error comes back. If everything runs fine, then you know the problem exists in the vent line between the dryer and where it exits the house. If you still have problems, you will need to unplug the dryer, remove the back panel and inspect the interior for clogs. At least you have a dryer that warns you when the air flow become restricted or blocked. Most dryers> will continue to run until they overheat or fail. I hope this information is helpful. Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Electric dryers aren't very complicated. Here are some common symptoms that you may experience with your dryer:

There's an error code on the digital display

It doesn't work at all
There's no heat
It won't tumble
Drying is too slow
It overheats
It seems to run forever
It's noisy
It won't start
The light doesn't work
It blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker
My clothes smell bad!
My clothes are marked or torn

Dryer codes

The error code E68 is a stuck button error code. I recommend checking each button to make sure it loose in the plastic console. The button should rock side to side a little bit. If all the buttons are loose you can try to reset the unit control by unplugging the dryer for two minutes. If the error code comes back you will need to replace the unit control.

Error codes 3 and 10

need to test with multimeter, door code error could be a faulty door switch which would hinder machine from operating. I suggest checking the glo bar and ceramic igniter for the going off problem, in electric dryers maybe in gas as well bad motor windings can cause it to go off and on?

Frigidaire front load dryer, displays E72 call service, what does this mean?

Hi Don, this is AP!

I understand you are receiving an error code of E72 on your Frigidaire dryer. Without knowing the model number specifically I can tell you the general explanation for an E72 code is an outlet control thermistor short circuit. The recommended solution is to check the resistance of the outlet control thermistor, and check wiring for a short circuit across the thermistor connections. Resistance should be between 4.9K ohms and 6.2K ohms at room temperature (68-77F or 20-25C). You may possibly need to replace the outlet control thermistor and/or wiring and retest.

However, this is not a typical DIY project. I would recommend reaching out to an experienced appliance technician just to ensure no troubleshooting step has been missed. Parts are often costly and if the problem is precisely diagnosed, it can save you a lot of time and funds.

Best of luck,

Zanussi ZWD 1270 no heat

E72 can also be caused by broken wiring to the NTC(Sensor). If the wiring is low voltage( very thin wires) then pull gently on the wires where they go into the NTC. If they break away there is the problem, you would need to replace the wiring harness for that NTC. Also, check the fan motor is running and the belt on the ventilator has nt stretched. If all is ok check the condenser is nt blocked with lint
