I have a slide in Frigidaire Professional Series Range. When i put it on self clean -- after about 2 hours it starts to beep and flash a F1 error. The only way to quiet it is to turn off the breaker until it cools down. This is the second time it has done this. Help ! it is not that old (5 years)

This usually indicates a faulty EOC, electronic oven control. Please see the image provided below that explains the F1 error code on your Frigidaire range.

My oven is keep beeping and I can't cancel it

Good Morning Friend, that's a great question!

Typically error code F10 indicates that your Frigidaire range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). Let's attempt reprogramming your range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your range. Usually this will clear most false error codes. If issue persists, at this moment I would suggest contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (electronic oven control) will need replacing. Hope this helps! - Z

If you are having oven problems with your GE XL44 oven then you need to do a bit of oven troubleshooting. The first part of that problem is to know what the oven fault codes are trying to tell you.

The codes F0, F1, and F7 could either be a problem with the control or the keypad.
-to see what the problem is cause by, push clear/off on the keypad. Then disconnect the ribbon connector from the control. Wait at least 35 seconds to see if the code comes back. If the code comes back then the control is the problem. If the code does not come back, then replace the key panel.

F2 – This means there has been a problem with the temperature of your oven. It could be a cooling fan or air flow problem. Also could be that the oven got too hot in either a baking mode or a cleaning mode.
-check to make sure the contactor contacts are not welded together. If this happens the oven will always be putting out heat, even if turn off. The thermal switch may also have burnt out. If this switch is open then the fan may be bad, causing the thermal switch to activate. The thermistor that senses oven temperature may also bed bad or have a poor connection somewhere.

F3 and F4 - These are oven temperature sensor codes.
- check the sensor by removing power to the range and then removing the sensor. Check that the sensor reads approximately 1100 Ohms at 72 degrees F. Then check the oven sensor lead to make sure that it is not shorted out. Then check the terminals to make sure that you are getting good contact. If everything checks out okay, then replace the control.

F5 – This is a relay safety circuit failure code
-check the lock circuit for problems. Then check the thermistor for high resistance. Press clear/off on the key pad and reprogram the control. If the code is still there then replace the control.
The F5 code can also result from a short loss of power. If you had a power flicker then reset the control.

FC – This shows a problem with the door lock circuit. Check all the wires and the switches. Check the operation of all the switches.

FD – This is a problem with the meat probe. Check the probe wiring and the receptacle where the probe plugs in at. Resistance on the probe should be 30 to 50K ohms at 72 degrees F.

FF – This is a problem with the door motor safety circuit. To fix this the control will need to be replaced.

Fridgidaire self cleaning range: F1 error code?

You have a control board failure. First thing I would try is to unplug the range for at least 10 min. and then plug back in and see if that works. Hope that helps

Frigidaire flashing F1

Hello wills_amber - Typically, error code F1 indicates that the range has detected a runaway temperature issue (overheating). Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC (electronic oven control) on the range will need replacing.

My oven just started beeping and flashing an F1 symbol and won't stop for a while. Can someone tell me why this is and how to fix it? Thank you so very much.

Hi,

You can try a hard reset by unplugging the range for a good 1/2 hour, then plug back in. Unfortunutely this probably won't work, as these clock/timers are notorious for only lasting a few years. You have to blow $150+ and replace the clock/timer.

Note: A hair dryer will help you get the face off the old one to put onto the new one

F1 ERROR

Hi. This (f-1) code represents a failed oven control board. Have this damaged board replaced asap, if possible. It has failed. Possible logic chip set failure.

Self cleaning oven won't lock

Generally
There is a motor that lets the latch slide out and catch the door either this latch motor isn't getting power from the board or the motor is bad. You will have to need a volt meter and a wire diagram, and take the covers off to see the motor and board.

Always remove power until you get the item open and can see whats going on before reapplying power.
If you don't feel confident I recommend calling in a repair man.

Frigidaire during cleaning F1 error,

F1 means its your electronic control and it will probably cost you the same amount to get this problem fixed again. The part is usually $350 plus.
