Duet washer is making a sounds like its running, but no lights are on and door is unlocked. I've trying pushing and holding buttons to no avail

try this link..Pull down on the bottom panel and pull it away from the washer. Reach through the open panel and up to the door lock. Find the release ring below the locking mechanism. Pull down on the ring to unlock the door.

Here is a few things to check before you do a manual opening of the door
You may have already done these steps but please try this again in this order ok?

Check to see if the "Add a Garment" light is lit on the Duet's display. The light will only be on during the first eight minutes of a washer cycle, when the function is usable.
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button once to pause the washing cycle and unlock the door.Press the Press the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle if the "Add a Garment" light is not illuminated. THIS IS A BIGGIE HERE (Wait for the water to drain. The door unlocks once enough water has drained to enable you to safely open the washer door NOW IF THESE STILL DO NOT WORK THEN HERE IS HOW TO MANUALLY OPEN THE DOOR
UNPLUG THE MACHINE
Remove the three screws securing the lower toe panel to the washing machine. The lower toe panel is the small rectangular panel underneath the washer's front door. Pull the panel off the washer once the three screws are removed.Reach up into the front panel of the washer. Feel for the teardrop-shaped tab in the washer's door latch assembly.Pull down on the tab until you hear a click. The click is the sound of the door unlocking.

Push and hold the button that looks like a pad lock for three seconds and a beeping sound and then it should unlock. Depending on your model. Let me know.

What is the model number? To get your clothes out and the door open on that model, try unplugging it for awhile and open the door (you probably have tried that already. Some models you can take off the bottom panel and reach up and there is a little ring you can pull to open the door. (most likely) you might be hearing the pump running since it always run when spinning. If you give me the model number I can let you have the test code. You could try Pressing any key (not power or stop) hold it in for 3 seconds let go 3 seconds, press 3 sec, let go 3 sec, hold 3 sec let go. It should come up all lights on. Don't worry you can't damage anything in the test mode. Watch what it says. then press that same key about every 30 seconds to advance it. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm trying my best. It should at least unlock it in the process. Good luck

usually you can push and hold the button next to the lock light. it will have a picture of a lock next to it. if you push and hold it for 5 seconds it should unlock the control board.

Do you have any error codes?

Does water remain in the washer after the final spin?
If water remains in the washer after the final spin, then the door will not unlock. Drain/Spin or Spin Only to remove any remaining water from the washer. The door should unlock at the end of the cycle.
Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light on?
If the Add A Garment light is on, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed once. Pressing the Start button will restart the washer at the same point where it left off in the cycle.
Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light off?
If the Add A Garment light is off, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed twice. The door will not immediately unlock while the cycle is running due to a possible high-water level in the washer, high-water temperature, tumbling or spinning. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock. You will hear the door click when it unlocks.
If Pause/Cancel does not work:

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

slect drain/spin cycle and try running that one, before it starts anycycle this achine will unlocka nd relock the door mechanism. if uyou try this what does it do??? any response???

try hitting pause cancel twice if that doesnt work turn the dial around all the way to off try to unplug the washer if all that fails the remove the three torx screws remove the lower panel and reach up where the latch is after unpluging the washer on the bottom of the latch is a tear shaped tab pull it down till it clicks that will unlock the door
