Hi, i have instruction on removing your base stand.

Removing the Pedestal Stand
1) Carefully lay the front of the unit face down on a flat,
cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand
protruding over the edge of the surface.
Note: Extreme care should always be used when removing
the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel.
2) Remove the jack pack cover on the back of the TV to expose
the pedestal stand screws. The jack pack cover can be removed
without tools.
3) Remove the four screws shown in the diagram below. This will
allow removal of the pedestal stand.
4) Once you have removed all four screws holding the pedestal
stand in place, remove the pedestal stand from the TV by
sliding the pedestal stand away from the TV.

For 17 in CLC507: Remove the cover off the very bottom of the stand by turning upside down and removing 4 small screws, then gently pry the tabs while pulling on the base to remove the stand bottom. Remove the internal screw from the bottom, and remove 3 more screws from the back. Remove stand.
Note: There are no internal bosses or threads to mount a wall mount on the VESA-type 4 -bolt mounting surface, which has 4 rubber plugs in the mounting bolt holes. The entire back and circuit board must be removed to install nuts or bolts and washers from inside the TV to attach a wall mount, unless the same stand bolt-holes are used.

How do I remove the stand from my 42lg50 tv

If you mean the original stand, place the TV LCD panel down on a table that is covered with a soft cloth. Look at the bottom center of the back of the TV and remove the 4 Philips head screws. Once the screws are removed, pull the stand away from the TV. The base can be removed from the stand body by removing another 4 screws that are at the top of the stand body.

See page 12 of the user manual available from the LG support page: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-42LG50.AUS . The current link to the manual is https://gscs-b2c.lge.com/downloadFile?fileId=KROWM000196216.pdf .

I hope this helps. If you have put a third party VESA stand on the 42LG50, you may have to remove the TV from the stand to reach the mounting plate.

I just purchased a JVC 47'' LCD just need to know how to remove the stand. I have it hanging on a Unti do not need the stand.

1. remove the 4 screws on the back of the TV (these are located in the deep holes above the stand)

2. after the screws are removed, the TV will lift from the stand.

The stands sits inside the TV. after the screws are removed the TV will still sit on the stand. you (and someone else) will need to lift it from the stand.

I want to wall mount my 26LB30QD but the stand needs to come off, there is nothing in the instuctions on how to remove the stand, please advise.

With the tv laying flat on to the screen, remove the two screws in the recessed holes. Then remove the two screws above towards the input panel, one under AUDIO-L/AUDIO-R and the one under HDMI-1. The stand should easily slide out.
